Fr. Ross Caniglia

Originally from Council Bluffs, IA, Fr. Ross Caniglia attended Creighton University from 2006-2010, obtaining a degree in Atmospheric Sciences (Meteorology). Before entering seminary, Fr. Ross worked at KTIV in Sioux City as an on-air weekend meteorologist and multimedia journalist. In 2013, Fr. Ross began his seminary studies at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. It was there that he discerned his call to the priesthood. At the same time, he began composing music during his Theology III year. In 2019, Fr. Ross was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Sioux City. He loves serving the people of God in Northwest Iowa, and looks forward to what his years in ministry have in store. His first composition, the “Mass of the Epiphany,” is now published through GIA. He has also published with OCP. Besides composing, Fr. Ross enjoys playing piano, volleyball, tennis, basketball, watching sports, and keeping an eye on the weather.
