Dr. Henrique Coe

With more than 30 world premieres of orchestral, chamber and choral works, Dr. Henrique Coe is a Brazilian and Canadian composer and music educator with a broad knowledge of musical repertoire and composition techniques from Medieval to Contemporary, often merging these techniques. His experience includes working with professional orchestras and student ensembles in different countries, as well as teaching Music Theory and Aural Skills at the university level as a Teaching Assistant and teaching general music classes at the high school level, having published in Canada a Music Theory book, which became known as The Coe Method. Highlights of his career include premieres with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria) in 2025, Orquestra Sinfônica da Unicamp (Brazil) in 2024, Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro (Brazil) in 2023, as well as choral pieces composed for the Dedication of the Montréal Cathedral (Canada) in 2017.
